Brazil and Portugal sound nothing alike
European Portuguese swallows unstressed vowels in a way Brazilian Portuguese does not, to the point that speakers of one occasionally struggle with the other. Tools tuned on Brazilian audio degrade badly on a Lisbon broadcast.

Portuguese has around 250 million speakers and a fraction of the subtitling infrastructure that number would suggest. Brazilian technical, legal and business video in particular is produced at enormous volume for a domestic audience and localised essentially never.
European Portuguese is worse served again. Broadcaster archives, parliamentary sessions and university material carry Portuguese captions at best, and the caption files that do exist are often auto-generated and unreliable.
