Extension settings

Make AnyDubwork your way.

These preferences live in the extension itself and apply to every tab. Changes save as you make them — no reload needed.

On the page

Floating bubble The round AnyDub button that rests in the corner of every page. With it off, AnyDub stays completely invisible until you open it from the toolbar icon or a keyboard shortcut.

Translate selected text Select any text on a page and a small bar appears next to it, to translate it or hear it read aloud in your language.

YouTube player button The AnyDub button in the YouTube player controls, next to the settings gear, that turns on translated captions for the video you’re watching.

Keyboard shortcuts

Control AnyDub without the floating bubble. Chrome owns these shortcuts, so they’re changed on Chrome’s own shortcuts page — what you see below is whatever it currently has bound.

Paste that into a new tab — browsers don’t allow a web page to open chrome:// addresses directly.

Interface language

The language of AnyDub’s own buttons and labels. This is separate from the language you translate into, which you pick in the extension panel.

Show AnyDub in Applies immediately, everywhere the extension draws — the panel, the text tools and the on-page controls.
